About me
Angus
Edwards
Live audio engineer. Front of house, monitors, systems and production.
I'm a live audio engineer. My focus is live bands — front of house, monitors and systems for festivals, concerts and touring — and sound design for theatre productions. Club rooms through to festival mains, with corporate and broadcast work when a show calls for it.
That range is deliberate. Mixing monitors makes you a better front of house engineer. Tuning systems makes you a better mixer. Running production teaches you what every other department needs from audio. Each job sharpens the others, and a client gets an engineer who understands the whole show rather than one seat at it.
The work I'm proudest of isn't the loudest. It's the show where the artist stops thinking about their in-ears, the promoter stops worrying about the neighbours, and the audience simply hears the band. Getting there is mostly preparation: a program day done properly, a show file ready before soundcheck, and the discipline to make small moves rather than big ones once the doors open.
I'm straightforward to work with. Clear communication in the advance, no surprises on the day, and the same standard whether it's a one-off gig or a full touring production.
If you're planning a show, let's talk about what it needs.

Where I sit
on the show
Front of House
The mix your audience actually hears. Everything on stage — vocals, instruments, playback — blended into one cohesive, high-quality sound that suits the room and lifts the performance.
Monitors
Clear, consistent stage sound so the performers can do their job. Wedges or in-ears, line-checked properly and mixed with an ear on what each person needs to hear.
Systems
Design, deployment and tuning of the PA. Array modelling, prediction and measurement so coverage is even and the system is doing what the design says it should.
Production Management
Advancing, scheduling, crew and supplier coordination. The planning that turns a technical rider into a show that loads in on time and runs without surprises.
Tour Management
Logistics, budgets, travel, settlements and the day-to-day running of a tour, so the artist can stay focused on the performance.
